Pecan Pie Brownies

Pecan Pie Brownies are easy to make and a wonderful dessert any time of year, but especially around the holidays. The fudgy brownies are a decadent and rich treat made with candied pecans and plenty of chocolate.

These are some of the richest, tastiest, and best brownies you will ever eat. The pan of pecan pie brownies will feed a lot of people because they are so rich and you won’t need as big of a piece. Truly.

I love the combination of chocolate and pecan pie because you get the best of both worlds rolled up into one delicious fudge brownie pecan bar.

Plus, these are super easy to make. I made the brownies from scratch, but you can get a brownie box mix if you’re even shorter on time. I have a chocolate brownie recipe here on the blog that you can get started with.

If you love pecans, try this pumpkin roll recipe with cream cheese frosting and pecans.

Recipe and Printable Instructions listed below

Start with the brownie mix. You can either make the brownies from scratch (click here for the recipe) or start with a boxed mix. Bake them for about 25 minutes. They will still be a little gooey on the inside.

I’ve also added the brownie recipe to the bottom of this post. You most likely have the ingredients at home.

If you love these easy chocolate brownies, you’ll love these lunch lady brownies with chocolate frosting, too.

And, if you’re looking for some more pecan recipes, try this pecan pie cobbler that will feed a crowd, or this pumpkin pecan pie that people rave about.

Once the brownies bake, set aside and get started on the topping.

Pour the melted butter into the bowl and mix everything together. The melted butter always brings out the smell of the other ingredients and it’s such a great scent to add to the kitchen. Who needs candles when you have all of this deliciousness?

Finally, add the pecans to the bowl and stir until they are completely covered. Mmm…

Spread the pecan pie filling mixture over the brownies. Be gentle as you spread because you can tear the brownies that are still jiggly in the middle of the pan–speaking from experience here. Although, they will still turn out delicious and no one will ever know.

Bake the brownies again for about 25 minutes or until the top starts to candy a little.

The pecan pie brownies cook up so delish. I love the corners since they bake up a little more chewy.

Why do my brownies get hard?

You might be over mixing the brownies. Just mix the brownies enough to combine the ingredients and pour them into the greased dish.

What’s the difference between cake and brownie?

Brownies are a more dense dessert, while cakes are usually lighter and fluffier.

What does fudgy brownies mean?

First, they are going to taste amazing, and second, they are more dense, chewier, and richer tasting.
