Welcome to Foodie Friday Link Party 86! This week we are featuring a few extra recipes for the Easter holiday. Get those pencils out or those printers warmed up because y’all will want to save these delicious family recipes.

Featured Recipes

Y’all are going to need a ham, but what better way to prepare it than in the Crock Pot? The Butter Girls, over at Butter With A Side of Bread took a chance cooking this recipe for the first time on Christmas. But, it turned out so amazing that they use it all the time now. Plus, as the girls said in the post, it frees up your oven for other Easter items.

Be sure to add these Tangy Green Bean Bundles to your table this Easter. The flavors in this side dish recipe are out of this world, including parsley, paprika, apple cider and tarragon vinegar, and possibly the best ingredient of all…bacon. Oh my, make plenty because your guests will want seconds.

No meal is complete without these pureed carrots and parsnips. The kids (and adults) are going to love the ingredients in this side dish. Plus, everything in this dish is wholesome and quite delicious!

This next side dish is made with fresh vegetables that everyone at the Easter gathering will love. Plus, it’s easy to make, and we all love easy cooking on a holiday. The potatoes will make a great side dish for Easter or any holiday. Plus, it’s Kay’s Granny’s recipe, so you know you can’t go wrong!

No meal is complete without homemade buttermilk biscuits, especially if the recipe comes from your Grandma. Grandma Ruby’s Simple Buttermilk Biscuits only requires three ingredients and you know they will come out fluffy and perfectly delicious. And, we love simple.

The kids are going to not only love eating these Easter Finger Jell-O desserts but love helping you make them. You only need four simple ingredients and some cookie cutters and you have an afternoon activity and some yummy desserts to show for it. All the kids will gather around for these on Easter.

Be sure to make plenty of this Easter Egg Bark because you will have people coming back for seconds. It has some creamy and rich ingredients that make this candy a special treat. The pastel colors help create a fun Easter dessert. Plus, you can save the recipe and use it again with different colors for different holidays. And those Cadbury Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs and M&M’s are the best topping of all.

And, top off the Easter meal with some carrot cake. You’ll get a double-whammy of veggies in the kids with this dessert. It’s easy to make and very rich.

Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is a delightful dessert.
