Hi y’all! I am glad you’re back this week to check out Foodie Friday!
I am geared up and ready for Thanksgiving. I went to the grocery store today and bought a couple more things for the big day.
I bought a Butterball turkey at Aldi’s for 99-cents a pound and noticed Target and Publix were running pretty good specials, as well. That’s a pretty good deal! Do you have your turkey and fixin’s yet?
In the mean time, I am always on the lookout for something easy to make for supper. I have a sick kid at home today, and he is still feeling pretty lousy. He has a virus, and I have him quarantined on the couch.
And, I took my older son to look at a high school magnet program tonight, so with everything going on I wanted to make something simple for all of us to eat.
I love my slow cooker, and this first recipe is a great meal to make when you’re looking for something delicious and easy to fix. Chicken always comes out so tender when cooked in the slow cooker. This recipe is definitely on my list for the near future.
Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken and Rice Bowls – Savory Moments
This next recipe would be a great breakfast to fix for guests coming over for the holidays. You can make it ahead of time and reheat it, or whip it up, bake it, and make everyone’s day. Seriously, if you served this to me, I would be a guest at your house quite often! I love all the ingredients in the recipe.
Bacon Swiss Quiche – Making A House A Home
This next recipe is a warm and comforting soup made in the slow cooker. It’s not your typical slow cooker beef meal, either. I’m used to potatoes in my stew, but I’m excited to try butternut squash instead. It has a sweeter flavor, and you know that is going to make everything taste richer. Definitely a meal to try soon.
