This easy Crock Pot meatball recipe is made up of frozen meatballs, barbecue sauce, and grape jelly. I think you will absolutely love it because it might just be one of the easiest appetizers, or dinner, you’ve ever made.
You can get the meatballs prepped and cooking in less than five minutes, and take them to a party for everyone to rave over!
It’s hard to believe that Christmas is already over and we are headed into the new year! How did the year go by so fast?
I know one thing is for sure, after the holiday party season–I am ready to bring the best appetizers to the next party.
I first tried these meatballs at a church party and have loved them ever since.
We’ve been running around like crazy lately and it’s hard to get dinner on the table sometimes.
On those crazy nights I love to get out my Crock Pot. It’s a mom’s best friend.
The Crock Pot meatballs are a cinch to make. It takes about five minutes to throw together, a few hours to cook, and then you’ve got dinner.
You can take the meatballs to a party, or add them to a plate with a side of mashed potatoes, or even have meatball subs.
What do I need to make the Crock Pot meatballs?
- Frozen meatballs (or make some at home)
- Grape jelly
- Barbecue sauce
How do I make the meatballs?
- Add the grape jelly and the barbecue sauce to the Crock Pot and stir.
- Next, add the meatballs and stir around to make sure they are covered.
- Cook for a few hours and serve.
Recipe and printable instructions listed below.
Spray the Crock Pot with a non-stick spray. Add the grape jelly and barbecue sauce to the Crock Pot.
Mix the grape jelly and barbecue sauce together. I used Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce, but you can use your favorite brand.
When you get the barbecue sauce, be sure not to get a sweeter kind, simply because it might make the meatballs too sweet because you already have the grape jelly that will sweeten the meatballs.
Add the meatballs and make sure they are mixed in well and somewhat covered with sauce.
Set the Crock Pot on high for about 3 to 3-1/2 hours. Give it a stir about halfway through.
That’s it. You’ll really love the meatballs because they are so easy to make. Whenever I go to a party or a church potluck, I am thrilled when I see meatballs in the Crock Pot.
It’s a popular recipe and they are always scooped up fast!

These meatballs look so good and easy. It's so nice you can sit outside at night now. My in laws live in Florida and we like visiting them in the winter to get a break from the north east winter.

Hi Joanne, Thank you! This seems to be the perfect time down here right now. It will start to get unbearably hot in a couple of months. That's great you can come down and visit your in-laws and thaw out a little bit. I am sure it gets super cold up there in the north east!
