Alfredo sauce makes everything taste better, doesn’t it?
I love the stuff, but I’m notorious for not planning ahead and needing some for a meal.
But, most of the time, I have the ingredients to make Alfredo Sauce, and this is a quick and easy recipe.
Recipe and instructions are at the bottom of the post.
Add the butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese to a saucepan. Heat on medium.
Add the garlic salt, Italian seasonings, salt, and pepper.
If you have minced garlic, you can add a teaspoon of that instead of the garlic salt and it will taste a little fresher.
I didn’t have any, so I used garlic salt, which I always keep in the cabinet.
Add the parmesan cheese. Fresh grated parmesan is always going to taste better, but I didn’t have any.
I almost always buy some finely grated parmesan cheese (like Kraft sells) and keep it in the fridge. That way, I have some to top pizza, spaghetti, or in this case Alfredo sauce!
Once you add the parmesan cheese, mix it up and let it simmer for about 5 minutes while it thickens.
Once it thickens, add it to your meal, or pour into a glass jar, and keep it in the fridge.
This recipe for Easy Homemade Alfredo Sauce will make about 16-20 ounces.
