Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and it’s never too early to plan for the latest gadgets that will make your life a lot easier, whether you’re looking for ways to save time in the kitchen, create family memories that will last a lifetime, or prepare the best Thanksgiving dinner ever. I’ve picked out five things that will help you get through the day with ease.
If you’re planning to have a large crowd for Thanksgiving dinner, you need as much counter space as possible, and a way to keep things organized. I love this Harvest Utensil Holder. It’s cute, the colors holler, “Thanksgiving,” and everyone can grab a set of silverware as they pass through the food line.
Paper plates are a must-have item for larger crowds. If you’re going to use dishes for the main meal, keep paper plates for the appetizers. Using paper plates will keep your dishes down to a minimum, and people can toss them when they are done. If you’re wanting a more relaxed Thanksgiving meal, these paper plates are cute enough that you won’t feel bad about keeping the china in the cabinet.
This has to be one of my favorite Crock Pot items. These work great for appetizers, or side items at Thanksgiving. Only one connectable comes in a package, but you can buy more than one and connect them. There’s a pocket to store the cords when you’re not using the Crock Pot. You can also connect each section together, and only use one plug. When you go to buy one, you have a choice of colors, and sizes. Seriously these are so fun and trendy, and you don’t have to spend commercial prices to have something that works just as well.
We’ve had a cooking pan like this for years. The turkey fits in nice and neat, and you don’t have to break the bank in search of the perfect pan.
One of the features include a carbon steel core. So, while you’re not paying much more than a foil roasting pan price, you’re getting something that won’t leak and will last. You also have the choice of a 15-inch or 18-inch pan. The lid on the 15-inch is shorter, and will most likely fit in smaller ovens.
Several years ago, I got some of these Sur La Table pie cutters. They are so easy and fun to use, and they make your crust pies look like they came right out of a bakery.
